This New Moon Circle is a monthly gathering in Portland, Oregon rooted in feminine energy, collective care, and community resilience.
Feminine energy refers to qualities such as intuition, reflection, receptivity, creativity, and relational awareness. It is not gendered and exists in all people. This circle is open to womxn and anyone who identifies as a woman, including trans and non-binary people who feel resonance with feminine energy.
Together we gather each New Moon to slow down, reflect, sing, and reconnect with ourselves and one another in community.
What Happens at a New Moon Circle
Each New Moon Circle includes guided reflection, journaling, shared silence, optional sharing, and singing. Songs are mostly sung in call-and-response. You do not have to sing well to participate. Sharing your voice is enough. You are also always welcome to sit in silence, listen, and receive the song and the community around you.
We sing because song is part of a long lineage of healing across cultures and traditions. Singing together is intuitive and connective. We share our voices to honor those who could not speak before us and those who cannot speak now. We share our voices for the times we were unable to speak or say what needed to be said. We share our voices as a form of healing, as a way of remembering our connection to one another, and as a way of gathering in relationship with something greater than ourselves.
This is a space to speak honestly, listen deeply, and build courage and connection in community.
Tea and light treats are provided. You’re welcome to bring a small item for the communal altar if you feel called.
Donations are welcome and support the continuation of this monthly gathering. Suggested donation is $10–25. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
