Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine is an ancient healing practice with lineages that span cultures and continents. Much of what we know today comes from the stewardship and wisdom of Indigenous peoples and women who have worked with plants since time immemorial. We also acknowledge that this knowledge has often been taken without consent or credit through colonization, oppression, and erasure. In my practice, I strive to honor the origins of plant medicine and to engage with this work humbly, ethically, and with respect.
Who Herbal Medicine Is For and What It Supports
Herbal medicine is for every body. Plants can be supportive across all ages and stages of life, whether used on their own or alongside other treatments.
In my practice, herbal medicine is most often used to support:
-
Stress, anxiety, and nervous system regulation
-
Hormone balance and menstrual health
-
Sleep support
-
Digestive concerns including bloating, IBS, and gut motility
-
Immune support and seasonal illness
-
Fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care
-
Inflammation, recovery, and overall resilience
Herbs work by supporting the body’s own regulatory systems. Depending on the plant and formulation, they may support hormone signaling, digestion and absorption, immune function, stress response, and long term balance.

All formulas are chosen with your full health picture in mind, including medications, sensitivities, and your current life context.

How I Use Herbal Medicine
Herbal recommendations are always individualized. I draw from evidence based research while honoring the traditional use of plants across cultures. Herbs may be used as teas, tinctures, glycerites, or topical preparations, depending on what best fits your body and your life.
Herbal medicine is often where we begin. Sometimes it is all that is needed. Other times it works alongside additional therapies as part of a comprehensive care plan.

Herbal Medicine for Kids and Pregnancy
When used skillfully and safely, herbal medicine can be supportive for children, pregnant people, and new parents. I commonly offer guidance for:
-
Calming and sleep support for children
-
Immune and seasonal care
-
Pregnancy related nausea, fatigue, digestion, and sleep
-
Postpartum healing and lactation support
Safety, research, and informed consent are always central to this work.
